Binding a Quilt

After you have quilted the quilt, you bind the edges. Watch the video below for a wonderful video tutorial on binding a quilt. These instructions apply no matter what the size of the quilt. I love that final step of hand sewing down the binding. I know I am almost done! It’s a project I like to do while listening to music or listening to the TV with husband. There are options to do the whole thing with the machine, without hand sewing. We will cover that in another tutorial.

She is excited by modern short cut quilting techniques which makes quilting so much more achievable for those who are quite short on time. She enjoys making quilts for her children who she says do not notice mistakes and feel loved by what she makes. "I appreciate how learning and improving my quilting, cross pollinates into other creative areas of my life: for example colour, balance, proportion are important to quilting, but they are also important to web design."
